Community Guidelines

OurLatexLife is a home for people who love latex and rubber — the gear, the craft, the look, and the lifestyle. This is a community built on celebration and respect. These guidelines exist to keep it that way, and to make our enforcement the opposite of the arbitrary, unexplained takedowns many of us have experienced elsewhere. When we act, we tell you why, and you can appeal.

By joining, you agree to follow these guidelines. Breaking them can lead to content removal, warnings, suspension, or removal from the community.

1. Who can be here

  • You must be 18 or older. No exceptions. This is an adults-only community.
  • You're responsible for your account. Don't share it, and keep it secure.
  • We're invite-based. When you invite someone, you're vouching for them — if someone you invite is removed for a serious violation soon after joining, it may affect your ability to invite others.

2. The spirit of this place

We're here to celebrate latex and rubber and each other. Lift people up. Welcome newcomers. Assume good faith. The features here — reactions, spotlights, milestones — exist to make people feel seen, not to chase clout. There are no public follower counts and no algorithmic feed by design.

3. What you can and can't post

This is a sex-positive community, but it is not a pornography site. The line is drawn deliberately well inside what the law allows. This line is what keeps OurLatexLife sustainable and welcoming.

You CAN post:

  • Latex and rubber fashion and lifestyle imagery of all kinds.
  • Gear worn and shown off — including restraint gear (cuffs, hoods, straitjackets, collars, gasmasks) as part of an outfit. This content is rated Fashion (see §4).
  • Consensual restraint and bondage scenes among clothed people — including one person restraining another, suspension, sleepsacks, and gags — as long as everyone is clothed, everyone is willing, and it's presented as the consensual scene it is. This content is rated Scene (see §4).
  • Latex-covered nipples are fine, even if the latex is sheer or translucent. The test is simple: is there latex on the skin? If yes, it's allowed.

You CANNOT post:

  • Nudity. Exposed genitals or buttocks (including through cut-out garments), or bare nipples (skin directly showing). If skin is bare in those areas, it's not allowed here — sheer latex over the skin is fine; bare skin is not.
  • Sexual acts, real or simulated, or visible sexual arousal.
  • Anything showing real distress, non-consent, injury, blood, or harm. Consensual struggle-play among willing, clothed participants is fine; anything that depicts or implies genuine non-consent or harm is not.
  • Anyone who is, or appears to be, under 18 — in any context whatsoever. This is the one rule with zero tolerance and no appeals on the category. Content suspected of involving a minor is reported to the authorities as required by law.
  • Content depicting people who didn't consent to being photographed or posted.
  • Commercial pornography, or advertising sexual services.

The quick test:

  • Fashion: Showing what you're wearing to an event, the results of a photoshoot, or just out getting groceries (we love to see it)
  • Scene: The more hard core side of rubber - bondage, BDSM play, breathplay, restraint – all legal, and where everyone is a willing participant (the kind of thing that gets removed from other social media websites)
  • Never: Nothing explicit, nothing harmful, nothing without consent, no one under 18.

4. Fashion and Scene — content ratings

Every image post is rated Fashion or Scene.

  • Fashion: outfits, gear, lifestyle — the everyday glamour and craft of latex.
  • Scene: consensual restraint/bondage content as described above.

When you join, your feed shows Fashion content only. You can choose to also see Scene content anytime in your settings. This keeps heavier content opt-in, so everyone sees the community on their own terms.

Rate your posts honestly. If you're unsure, rate it Scene. Moderators may re-rate a post if it's miscategorized — that's not a punishment, just housekeeping.

6. Treat people well

  • No harassment, hate, threats, or targeted cruelty.
  • No impersonation.
  • No spam, scams, or commercial solicitation.
  • Disagreement is fine; making this place feel unsafe is not.

7. How enforcement works

We aim to be transparent — the opposite of being shadow-banned with no explanation.

  • When we remove content or act on your account, we tell you which guideline applies and give you a way to appeal.
  • Our ladder is generally: a warning, then a temporary suspension, then removal. Serious violations — minors, non-consensual images, sexual content, false consent claims — skip the ladder and result in immediate removal.
  • Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original call, wherever possible.
  • Automated tools help us flag content, but a human makes every removal decision. A flag is not a verdict.

8. Reporting

Use the report button on any post, comment, or profile. Choose the category that fits (nudity/sexual content, non-consensual image, harassment, suspected minor, impersonation, spam, mis-categorized rating, or other). Reports are confidential. Serious categories are prioritized.

9. Our promise if we ever wind down

If OurLatexLife ever has to close, we commit to giving you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your content before anything is deleted. This community has been let down by platforms before. We won't disappear on you.

10. Changes

We may update these guidelines. We'll notify the community of meaningful changes. Continuing to use OurLatexLife after a change means you accept the updated guidelines.
